Joseph "Joey" Leroy Baca

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the calling of God's servant Joseph "Joey" Leroy Baca into the gates of Heaven on April 17, 2022. He was born June 16, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Joey is survived by his siblings Melvin Childers, Lawrence Chavez, and Florinda Baca. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Childers-Baca.
Joey first came to ARCA in 1986 and was placed at the South Valley homes not long afterward. Joey enjoyed listening to different types of music; his favorite ones included Michael Jackson and Gospel while sitting in his rocking chair at home. In addition, Joey enjoyed greeting the staff and visitors with a handshake. Joey will be missed deeply by those closest to him, including his South Valley Home housemates and staff.
A Rosary followed by a memorial will be held on
