Jose "Joe" Clovello Chavez

Jose C. Chavez “Joe”, 76, beloved Father and Husband, was called to his eternal resting place on September 2, 2018. He entered this world on June 16, 1942 in Bernalillo County, born to Melisendro and Deluvina Chavez. He is survived by his wife Annie and daughter Joanna Lovato and husband Patrick; two grandchildren John and Sophia Lovato; sister Criselda Zamora and husband Edwin; brother Richard Chavez and wife Margie.
Joe served in the United States Air Force after high school. He then went on to work for the phone company as an Engineering Specialist and retired after 33 years. He graduated from the University of Albuquerque with a degree in Business Administration. Joe was an avid golfer and had his dream retirement job to work at Puerto Del Sol Golf Course for 16 years. He loved to hang-out with is grandchildren, John and Sophia, filling his days with laughter and joy. Learning to hunt from his son-in-law, Patrick, gave him the opportunity to enjoy the mountains even more. September 14th would have been his 50th Wedding Anniversary with his wife Annie. He enjoyed going to the State Fair only if his wife would go with him.
Joe was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed. Services at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Viewing on Monday, September 10, 2018, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm with a Rosary to follow at 6:30 pm; Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 9:00 am with burial to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 2:15 pm; reception will follow at 5:00 pm at the Post 13, 1201 Mountain Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
