Jose A. Ulibarri

Jose A. Ulibarri, age 82, took the hand of the Lord August 4, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. Jose was a Korean War veteran and served as Petty Officer, 2nd Class, SeaBee in the Navy. Jose was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight for two years and District Deputy for two years. He was also a life member of the fourth degree Father Mandalorian Council. Also a member of the DAV and American Legion Post 13.
Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Ulibarri. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donaciana Ulibarri; their children, Sandra and Anthony (wife Barbara) Ulibarri; grandchildren, Stacy Candelaria and Alicia Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Antonio Griego and Myriza Gonzales; siblings, Lupe Gardner and Frank (wife Nancy) Saiz; Rickey (wife Angela) Starkey, and Duane McGregor.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University, followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be Wednesday, August 10, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. with military honors.
