Jose Oliver Garcia

Jose Oliver Garcia, 83, beloved son, brother, and uncle was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, May 17, 2021, surrounded by his family. He entered this world on Saturday, July 17, 1937 in Madrid, NM, born to Daniel Garcia and Maryann Martinez. He is survived by his sisters, Lena Gonzales and husband, Robert and Cora Martinez and husband, Herman; stepdaughter, Candy Vigil; step-granddaughter, Jessica; and numerous nieces and nephews. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jose. He loved gardening and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. Jose was a jokester and had special nick names for his nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 27, 2021, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH-University. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. Pallbearers will be Christopher Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Jr., Kevin Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, Matthew Torrez, and Herman Martinez, Jr. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
