Jose Muniz

Jose Muniz, 88, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elsie; his children, Georgia Maez and husband, Joseph, E J Muniz , Joseph J Muniz, Jolene R Muniz; his granddaughter in law, Laura Maez; his grandson, David Maez; great grandchildren, Christopher J. Day, Alexandra Lamphier and Anthony J. Maez and one great great granddaughter, Sophie Maez and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Emerenciana Muniz and his grandson, John Maez. Mr Muniz served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Jose worked at Kirtland Air Force Base for 37 years as well as operating his own maintenance company for 40 years. A Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Lomas. A Rosary will be Recited Friday, December 29, 2017, 10:30 a.m. and Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. He will be honored Saturday, December 30, 2017, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery and burial will take place.
