Barbieri, Johnny Domenico Johnny Domenico Barbieri, age 83, died July 30, 2015. He was born in Albuquerque on May 11, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenico and Caterina B. Barbieri; his loving son, Johnny D., Jr. in 1972; and sisters, Marguerite Bailey and Mary Yolanda Hewitt. He attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Albuquerque High School. During the Korean Conflict in 1949, he enlisted in the Air National Guard and later activated in the USAF 188th Fighter Technical Squadron stationed in Long Beach, CA. He continued to be in the Air National Guard KAFB processing airmen in the medical dispensary. In 1966 he became owner of Little Pump Bar, and went on later to own Cork and Bottle Rusty's Lounge Liquor establishments for nearly 40 years. Johnny is survived by Clifford Barbieri (Peggy) and Cathy Tipton (Terry); sisters, Virginia Mayfield, Albina Mock and Rose Barbieri; many loving nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends. Johnny was a kind and good hearted person. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW, on Thursday, August 6, 2015, beginning with a viewing at 1:15 p.m., and funeral mass at 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
