John was born on February 6, 1958 and on February 17, 2013 he entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margarite; parents, Jose Antonio and Lily (Van Damme) Armijo and sister, Toni Louise. John is survived by his son, Joseph and his wife, Tyrae; six grandchildren, Jolene, Jessica, Dezirae, Dedra, Demi and Isaiah; seven siblings, Barbara Charrette, Steven and wife, Beverly Armijo, Maryann and husband, Jerry Perry, Joseph (Jake) and wife, Nancy Armijo, Marion (Chris) and wife, Linda Armijo, Catherine Armijo and Joanna and Patrick Lovato. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless dear friends loved him to the fullest.John was born and raised in Albuquerque where he attended Bel Air Elementary School, McKinley Jr. High school, Del Norte High School and the University of Albuquerque. He was a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard for over 22 years where he served with the 150th fighter squadron "Tacos". John has been an active member of the American Legion for the past 25 years and served as Post Commander for one term. John worked for his dad at A&G Heating from 1969 to 1984. Sandia National Labs from 1984-1996 and founded Four Winds Mechanical in 1997 and continued ownership until present day. John was an avid hunter. He was a devoted New Orleans Saints fan. He loved to dance and sing karaoke. He was a Harley enthusiast and a Legion rider for the Post 13.John was a loyal friend and very dedicated to his family. He always made everyone laugh with his awesome sense of humor. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower, 300 Mildred Ave NW. A Mass will take place on Friday, February 22, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower. Pallbearers will be, Isaiah Leyba, Julian J. Charrette, Andrew Najar, Angel Ruiz, Josh Lovato, Michael Armijo. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Sam Gutierrez, Edward Chavez, Tony Ortega, Julian R. Charrette, Nicholas Bryant, Christopher Armijo, Isaac Armijo, Paul Franco.
