John Zubersky, age 68, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. John was known for his strong dedication to his family and friends. John spent his free time perfecting his woodworking skills, playing guitar, cooking, and hosting to a full house; as well as traveling the world with his loving wife. He most recently acquired his Ham Radio Operator Certificate, and loved to collect G-scale trains. John is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Shannon, Kristen, Kendra, Katie and Wade; and by his grandchildren, Cameron, Ian, Kaitlyn and Zach. John touched the lives of those affiliated with the Masonic Lodge, ascending to the rank of Master of his lodge, and he donated resources to children with special needs by supporting Night Lights. John served a full military career of 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. John then retired with distinction from a long lived career of 38 years at Sandia National Laboratories as an electrical engineer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, with a reception to follow at the Masonic Temple Lodge, #6.
