John Struckle, age 98, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, passed away January 15, 2015. He is survived by his children, Jimmylea Sawyer and husband Mike, Nicky McBurney and husband John all of Albuquerque, NM; Grandchildren Shelby West and husband James of Albuquerque, Carrie Lagomarsino of Ruidoso, NM, Carla Duke and husband Ken of Ruidoso, NM.; ten great grandchildren and two brothers Frank Struckle of Cresco,PA and Edward Struckle of Roswell, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Edna; son Edward; parents John and Jennie Struckle; sister Jennie Sega; and brother Joseph Struckle all of New York. He retired from the telephone company after 30 years of service and was a Veteran of World War II. His absolute favorite past time was stream fishing; he was an avid golfer and bowler. John was a loving and dedicated family man who was always helping others. John was a resident of Beehive homes on San Pedro and Corona in Albuquerque at the time of his death. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to them for the tender loving care that he received. Services will be held Wednesday January 21, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming with Rev. Thomas D. Noesen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
