John "Jack" W. Shelbrick

John W. "Jack" Shelbrick, age 74, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He is survived by his brother, Don Shelbrick of Florida; his cousins, Robert and Marie Abrams, Kelli Abrams; and many friends. Jack was born in 1941 in Red Bank, New Jersey. Jack completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at UNM in Business Administration and proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1974 from Kirtland AFB. He worked as a Realtor for several years before going to work for the State of New Mexico as an auditor. Jack loved to ski, play tennis, ride his bike and was an avid reader and writer. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and per Jack's wishes, no memorial service will be held. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
