John Thomas Oglesby

d. June 16, 2021

It is with Deep Sadness we announce the passing of John Thomas Oglesby on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. He was born in Vandalia, Illinois and raised in Springfield /Decatur, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Oglesby of the family home; son, Darren J. Oglesby and wife, Ali of Albuquerque; daughter, Kimberly J. Dominguez and husband, Chris of Tucson, Arizona; stepdaughter, Darlene S. Valverde and husband, James of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

John served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic and was stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines; he could tell you stories of the airplanes he worked on. John started with Western Electric and retired with US WEST Telephone Company. He loved dogs and computers especially his dog, Sparky, and his iPad. (Which he always carried with him)

You are a Glistening Diamond in the Sky, a Memory Forever in our Hearts.

Like a dove in flight you left us four days before the start of Summer Breezes to join Sparky and Sha Sha in Heaven to WAIT FOR US LIKE YOU PROMISED.
Those SPECIAL MEMORIES of YOU will always bring a SMILE.  If only we could have you back for a little while.  Then we could sit and talk again just like we use to do.
You Always Meant so Very Much and Always will.  The fact you are no longer here will always cause us pain.  But you are FOREVER in our HEARTS until we meet again.
