John Mack Craig

John M. Craig, 64, beloved husband and father, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Heart Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was a resident of Bosque Farms, NM for the past 33 years, serving in a variety of community roles such as Planning and Zoning Commissioner, President of Yucca Little League, and Chief Umpire of District 5 Little League. John had an entrepreneurial spirit and focused that gift on the business he founded, Blue Star Trading. He made many friends and associations throughout his time working within the jewelry manufacturing industry in New Mexico, focusing his extensive knowledge and attention on precious metals and turquoise.  John will be remembered as a man of integrity, loyalty, and living a strong work ethic.

John was most proud to be a Christian and a family man. One of his great joys was watching his children in their various endeavors growing up and cheering them on. He also loved working on different building projects with his brother, Preston, through the years. John was a devout Christian and follower of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Craig; and his children, Ian and Kaitlynn. He is also survived by his brother, Preston Craig; and sister, Sheila Lynn; mother-in-love, Joanne Hendrickson; brothers-in-love, Gerald Hendrickson and Ken Cox; and sister-in-love, Karen Cox. He also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews, Heather, Tim, Carmen, Michelle, Celine, and Kieran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jeanette Craig; and sister, Rochelle Parks; father-in-love, Harry Hendrickson; and sisters-in-love, Billie Craig and Stacey Hendrickson. Also touching his life were the Pearce, Langfitt, and Chenoweth families, and Sara Romero.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Wyoming.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
