John H. Warner III

June 14, 1937 — August 6, 2014

77 of Albuquerque died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 after a two and half year battle with cancer. He was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on June 14, 1937. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. John worked as a bus driver for a total of 53 years at New Mexico Transportation, TNM&O, Greyhound, Herrera Coaches, and Follow the Sun. He was very proud of his driving record and never had an accident. Driving a bus is what he loved. John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Phyllis; his mother, Ernestine Bein of PA; daughter, Donna of TX; step-daughters Deborah Weaver (Charles) of Sandia Park and Karen Shope (Frank) of WA; stepson, Doug Patterson (Julie) of Albuquerque; brother David of PA; brother-in-law, Ronald Dawes (Marie); sister-in-law, Shirley McNeal; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Smith and the staff at Presbyterian Cancer Center and the Hospice staff at Presbyterian Kaseman. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Noonday Ministry, . A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., FRENCH - University.
