John Arthur Hollister

Of Albuquerque, age 71, passed away April 30, 2014. He is survived by his cherished sister Donna, and her husband Edwin Miera, of Oro Valley, Arizona. He was predeceased by his loving parents, and his brother Rod. John was a 1960 graduate of Highland High School, and he studied liberal arts at the University of New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965 as a Communication Specialist in the Submarine Service and was discharged as a Petty Officer 2nd Class, last serving aboard the warship USS Angler. He was a proud member of the Sons of Neptune. John went on to make his career with AT&T and retired from the Long Lines Division. He was an earnest golfer, word puzzle enthusiast, and would-be angler. John was a good brother and friend to many. We will miss you John. A private cremation was arranged by FRENCH - Lomas Chapel.
