John Gomez

Mr. Gomez lived a fulfilled 88 years. He was a character and loved to clown around. He was such a loving and hardworking husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and great-grandfather. John made certain his family had everything they needed. After serving in the US Army, he worked three jobs at one time to make certain all his children had a home. This was important to him. He was also a God loving man! Up to the day he was able to walk without being weak he would go outside and stand on the driveway and look up into the sky and pray before picking up the morning newspaper. He so loved his wife, Mary Ann, who stood with him at his side to the very end. They successfully had 52 years of love which included 48 years of marriage. He left with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren so proud of him, who all loved him dearly. He was the love of their heart and souls. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gomez; his children, Linda and Bob Swan, Michael and Susan Gomez, Greg and Yolandra Toya, Gwen Azar and Wish Krishnamoorthy, Renee’ Tabor, Johnny and Tamara Gomez and Antoinette Gomez and Gary Bilak; brothers, Louie Gomez and Joe Gomez, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. John was proceeded in death by his parents; John and Teresa Gomez; sister, Romey Trevett; brother, Ralph Gomez and son, Steve and MaryAnn Gomez. John Gomez left with integrity.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Chapel Service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside with a reception to follow.
