John R. Comer, a loving father and longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 6, 2016, at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ann Comer. He is survived by his daughter, Alison Comer (husband, Harry); and son, David Comer (fiancée, Lisa). John was born in St. Paul, MN and received his BA degree from Macalester College and his BS of Law degree from St. Paul College of Law. John was an Army Veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the H 511th Parachute Infantry Battalion as a paratrooper. John worked in many facets of the Insurance industry for over 50 years. John was an avid reader, animal lover, enjoyed traveling, and was a longtime member of the Mile High Optimist Club of Albuquerque. He touched many lives and will be remembered for his warm smile, quick wit and generosity. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. A private interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors.
