John Aaron Cheshire

John Cheshire, known by his family and friends as Aaron, 39, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 21, 2023. He was born on March 29, 1984, to his parents Richard and Dawn Cheshire.

He graduated from Eldorado High School in 2002, having made many lifelong friendships along the way.  After completing his high school education, Aaron decided to join the United States Marine Corps. He served his country with valor, rising to the rank of Corporal during his time in the military. Aaron carries the following awards from his military service: Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon (Iraq), Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 stars, Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. In more recent years, Aaron went on to earn 4 Associate's Degrees from CNM.

Aaron enjoyed spending time with his dogs, remodeling homes, and being with his family & friends. In his free time, he played golf and enjoyed online gaming with his brother and friends. 

Though Aaron never had children of his own, he cherished the time spent with his niece and nephew, showering them with gifts, love, and affection. 

Aaron is survived by his grieving parents, Rick Cheshire and Dawn Cheshire-Gibson (Paul Gibson), brother Daniel (Jesse), sister Ericka (Frank Salas), niece Lucy and nephew Eli. He will be dearly missed by his family, extended relatives, close friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life.

The funeral service honoring Aaron's life will be held on October 19, 2023, at 1pm at French Funerals and Cremations located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Aaron’s name to Mission 22, Travis Manion Foundation, or Wounded Warriors Project.

Aaron, your bravery, kindness, and dedication will forever be remembered. We will forever love you and miss you, may you rest now in eternal peace.
