Age 54, a resident of Sandia Park since 2008, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his son, Rylin Chavez and his daughter, Shyanne Chavez; his mother, Vicki Trujillo; his sister, five brothers and their wives and children; his two dogs, Crash and Dixie, and his horse, Canello. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louie. JT served in the United States Navy as well as United States Army. He served diligently during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded many honors. His passion was rodeo and bareback riding and living under the Cowboy Code. Services will be held Friday, August 9, 2013, 9:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
