John Michael Casias
December 27, 1954 - July 15, 2021
My Dad went home to be with the Lord but still holds a place in the hearts of those that love him.
He is survived by his mother Ingrid Casias; sisters Marcy and Sharon Casias; brother-in-law George White; nieces Natasha Casias, Cynthia Clements, Christine Highum, Samantha Davidson; nephew David White; daughter Margarita Casias; granddaughters Lourdes Hernandez and Isabel Perry; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Max Casias; brother Herbert Casias; and sister Barbara White.
Dad was born in El Paso, Texas but called Albuquerque, New Mexico home.
He was a man of faith who attended Calvary Christian Church.
He especially loved his teaching career; it was one of his proudest accomplishments. I often heard great stories of his days teaching History and how much he cared about his students. I also heard many stories about his favorite fishing trips. Dad loved fishing, one of his favorite spots was on the San Juan River in northern New Mexico.
He lived his sixty-six years well and had great times with wonderful family and friends along the way.
I thank God for the time we had together. I love and miss you until we meet again.
