John Burke

Born on November 2,1938, passed peacefully to heaven early in the morning on December 4, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He leaves behind his dearly loved three daughters in Virginia; his extended step family in New Mexico and California; his brother Ed in North Carolina, and his brother Legh in Arizona; and their children and grandchildren. He will also be missed by a large circle of friends. His family and friends will miss his generosity as well as his twinkling blue eyes and quick wit. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, John asked for people to donate to UNM Cancer Center, 1201 Camino de Salud NE, 87102.
