John Arthur Andrews

John Arthur Andrews passed comfortably the morning of Monday, March 12, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Sterling, CO and raised outside of Fleming, CO on his family’s farm. He graduated from Colorado State University with degrees in Agricultural and Civil Engineering. John and Elaine were married in Albuquerque in 1957. He began his career at Matotan & Assoc. John built his civil engineering firm, Andrews, Asbury & Robert, from the ground up, which later became the Larkin Group New Mexico. John’s passion and strong work ethic is felt by the community, as his work has helped shape the city of Albuquerque and the state of New Mexico into what it is today.

John is survived by the family he was so proud to call his; wife, Elaine Andrews; sister, Anna Mae Pyle and husband Leroy; children, Julie Nickerson and husband Steven, Lisa Campbell and husband Will, Doug Andrews and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Kellie Nickerson and husband Kessick Blech, Tracy Cox and husband Tim, Todd Nickerson, Tessa Nickerson, Samantha Andrews, and Sidney Andrews.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, please send charitable donations in John’s name to the American Red Cross.
