John Albin

December 7, 1917 — September 30, 2012

ALBIN, JOHN W., entered into his eternal rest on the morning of Sunday, September 30, 2012. He was a loyal brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was born on December, 7, 1917 in Stonewall County, TX and made Albuquerque, NM his home. He served in the Navy serving aboard the USS Doyen throughout the Aleutian Islands and the South Pacific Invasions during WWII. He will always be remembered for his love of farming, fishing and his strong faith. He was retired from Albuquerque Gravel Products and was an active member/organizer of the Blake Road Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Fay. He is survived by his children, Karen and husband Tommy Dancey, Johnny Albin; his grandchildren, Mitch and Ann Dancey, Donny Dancey, Lynn Albin, Elizabeth and Kyle Doperalski as well as many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of family members and friends which will all miss him dearly. A service will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11:00 am at Blake Road Baptist Church, 1704 Blake Road SW. A reception will follow. Interment will take place on Friday, October 5th at Tarleton Cemetery, Patillo, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to Blake Road Baptist Church.
