Johanna "John" James, 94, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on January 28, 2025.
Johanna was born in Denver, Colorado to John B. James Sr. and Margaret James on May 29, 1930.
After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Johanna went on to work as an electrical engineer for Sandia National Laboratories. Upon retirement, Johanna spent time building computers, learning the art of photography, and traveling the world.
Johanna was preceded in death by wife, Elaine T. James. They were married for 46 years. Johanna is survived by two sons, William James, and wife Barbara; George James and wife Stephanie; Grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Jessica, Aubrey, and Casey; and great grandchildren, Landon, and Miles.
Funeral service will be held at French - Lomas Chapel, at 10:00 am on February 13, 2025. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
