Daniel Valverde, beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021.
Dan is now reunited with his wife Delilia; brother Gilbert; and parents, Antonio and Eufelia, who resided in Albuquerque, Los Lunas and Las Vegas, NM. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons, Clinton, Christopher and Antonio Valverde; grandchildren, Shannon, Brianna, and Brice Valverde; brother, Joe Valverde; sister-in-law, Ella Valverde; daughters-in-law, Perla and Karla Valverde; and stepchildren, Darlene Aragon, Steve, John, Joseph and Albert Montoya along with extended family. Dan served his country honorably in the Korean War and will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Monday, January 17, 2022, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE beginning with the recitation of the Rosary led by Deacon George Valverde at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette. Interment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery with an auto procession to the cemetery immediately following the Mass.
Pallbearers will be Clinton and Antonio Valverde, John and Joseph Montoya, Jerrod Padilla, and Genaro Tafoya. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Valverde and Darlene Aragon.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for all of the prayers, cards, letters and flowers during the difficult period. Special thanks to all his caregivers especially Karen Maes, Dolores Bourguet, and Corina Donahoe.
