Joe T. Garcia

Joe T. Garcia left us to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 4, 2019. He was born in Clovis, NM on Tuesday, February 27, 1945, to Joe T. Garcia Sr. and Mary Garcia, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Joe Garcia III and his wife, Nikki Garcia; daughters, Bridgette Garcia and Tammy Day and grandchildren, Joe, T. Garcia IV, Josh Day; and Lauren Day. He is also survived by brothers, George Garcia and Lawrence Garcia; sisters, Dolores Tunnell, Stella Sanchez, Linda Contreras, and Cathy Simmons; brother-in-law, Raymond Paiz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe served his country in the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. Upon his return from service, he owned a local gas station and then started a successful 43-year career with American National Insurance Company, where he worked until he retired. During his retirement, he helped his family, worked part-time and traveled. His passions were his family, work, and working on cars, and landscaping projects. Joe was dedicated to his family and faith. He also supported the Brothers of the Good Shepherd throughout his life.

Loved deeply by his family, Joe will be greatly missed. We will love him for the rest of our lives. We miss you, Dad.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, 10:00 a.m., with a Mass to follow at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
