Joe L. Sanchez

Our beloved father, Joe L. Sanchez, 92, born in Durango, CO, and resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Carmen Sanchez; his children (daughters), Linda Duran and son-in-law Steve Duran, and Teresa Sterling: his grandchildren, Steven Duran, Julian Duran, Krystal Armijo, and Marissa Sterling; his great – grandchildren, Brett Duran, Ryan Duran, Raegan Duran, Donnie Duran, Athena Duran and Collin Armijo; brothers, Richard Sanchez, Bill Sanchez and his wife Jeanette; sisters, Alice Martinez and husband Cleo, Delia Sanchez, and Gloria Sanchez Martinez. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joe F. Sanchez; mother, Natividad Sanchez; sister, Inez Sandoval; brothers, Joe V. Sanchez and sister-in-law Toni Sanchez, Henry Sanchez, and Bobby Sanchez. Joe was a Barber for 57 years, loved horses, hunting, fishing, and camping. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers are grandsons, Steven Duran, Julian Duran, his nephews, Ricky Sanchez, Edward Sanchez, JR. Sandoval, and Herman Martinez.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH-University. A Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 9502 4th St NW. Burial will take place immediately following services at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113 with reception to follow after at FRENCH-Wyoming 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
