Joe Mendez

Joe Mendez, 93, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, May 15, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Dora Mendez; his sons, Gary Mendez and Dale Mendez and wife, Marti; grandsons, Bobby, D e z l y n n, D a n i e l, Gabriel and Kyle Mendez; granddaughter, Nicole and Angelina Mendez; five great-grandchildren. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Joe was a large presence in his community and church. He was loved by many and he befriended all. He will be missed dearly. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave., NE, Los Lunas. Burial will be held in Santa Fe.
