Joe Fuentes, 77, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on August 26, 2017. He was born September 14, 1939 in Roswell, New Mexico to Joe and Emelia Fuentes. He is survived by his wife, Julia Fuentes; his son, Christopher Fuentes (Stella); his daughter, Kathy Underwood (Don Hall); his son, LeRoy Fuentes (Dena); six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends.
Joe was self-employed from 1976 to 2001 as the owner of Fuentes Floor Covering. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1517 since 1988. Joe’s favorite pastimes included playing and watching golf and making his own jelly.
Services will be held Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Westside. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87102. Pallbearers will be Camilo Juan Martinez, Anthony Garcia, Frank Najar, Micha Gallegos, Albert Gonzales and Sal Unale.
