She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie S. Baca. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Joann graduated from Cibola High School and was crowned the homecoming queen her senior year. Joann went to study criminal justice at the University of Albuquerque. She married the love of her life Gregg and started their beautiful family together. Joann was known for her charisma, optimism and zeal for life. She loved to snow ski, water ski, and enjoy the lake on her boat.
