Joann C. Murphy

Joann was born in Iowa to E.J. and Lavon Cooper in November, 1928. She passed away peacefully August, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her daughter, Von and husband Robby; sons, Bill and wife Paula, John and wife Kim, Tom and wife Francesca, and Sean and wife Katrina; grandchildren, Kathy, Shannon, Bill, Abby, Taylor, Mariah, Shelby, Clayton, Helen, and Jacob; and great-grandson Brett. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Murphy; her son, Peter; her grandson, Pete; and her twin brother, John W. Cooper. Joann was proud of her career as a mother and registered nurse. She was a life-long learner and artist. In honor of Joann's life, should friends desire, donations may be made to Pete's Playground at UNM Children's Hospital or a charity of their choice.
