JoAnn Carrara

JoAnn Carrara, age 68, was called home by God Our Father, on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Leo P. and Annie R. Lucero. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bruno Carrara; son, Robert Olsen; and daughters, Gayle Olsen (Harvey Gammage), Stephanie Francis (Paul Francis), and Jeanna MacDonald (Rocky MacDonald).
She was a loving and proud grandmother of six, soon to be seven, Wesley, Eugene, Sophia, Ian, Augustus, and George. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Smokov and family; and many friends. JoAnn was a devoted employee of Queen of Heaven School for 20 years. She loved to quilt and was outstanding at her craft. JoAnn deeply cared for others and developed numerous lasting friendships throughout the years. She devoted her life to her family and was loved by all who encountered her.
Please join us for a Visitation starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by praying the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Friday, September 23, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
