Joan Lillard

Joan Lillard, 90, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away on July 7, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. Joan was born March 9, 1925 in Winchester, England to Henry and Gladys Legge. Joan was one of the first English war brides to come to American in 1945 along with her son Malcolm, and then later became a naturalized citizen. Joan moved to Hot Springs Village in 1986 along with her husband, Carroll. She enjoyed painting, photography, music, gardening and her dogs Bonnie and Wendy. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Carroll E. Lillard. She is survived by her brother, Peter Legge of Southhampton, England; her two children, Malcolm and wife, Linda Lillard, and Carol and husband Buck Reid; five grandchildren, James, David, Brice, Kathy, and Beth; and five great grandchildren, Hunter, Alli, Elizabeth, Jayla, and Lauren. Joan was placed to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM alongside her husband, Carroll on July 16, 2015.
