Jimmy E. Roybal

Jimmy E. Roybal, age 81, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He entered this world as Santiago Eliseo Roybal on May 12, 1943, in Jemez, NM, born to Nevares and Amada Roybal.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Doreen Roybal, his beloved grandchildren, Regina Otero (husband, Tony) and Nicholas Martinez (wife, Kimberly); beloved great-grandchildren, Marcus and Sophia Otero and Zia Martinez; and his loving brother, Joe Roybal (wife, Ada). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved and cherished.

Jim was preceded in death by his son, Santiago E. Roybal, Jr., Jim's wife of 49 years, Lillian Roybal, his parents, sister, Nancy Tarazon and brother, Jose (Eddie) Roybal.

Jim was a professional project manager for Envirco, specializing in developing clean rooms in the US and other parts of the world. It took him to Japan and China. He worked hard and retired at age 55. He was always busy with home projects and helped his family with all of theirs. He traveled with his wife, taking cruises and worked on his 55 chevy (Lillybug) that he restored and took to many car shows. He loved to hunt every fall. We will miss his strong dependable presence in our lives and his unique way of making the hardest jobs easier. We will strive to always make him proud and keep his memory, kindness and loyalty in our hearts and in our children's. Thank you Pops for everything you taught us and how you loved us. We will always love you.

A rosary for Jimmy will be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church located at 300 Mildred Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church with burial following at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Reception also to follow. Please visit our online guestbook for Jimmy at www.FrenchFunerals.com.
