To those who knew and loved Jimmie Wayne Lynn: He was 75 and passed in his home August 7th, 2024. He was born May 14th, 1949 in Santa Fe to Everett Porter Lynn and Ramona Miller Lynn. He was called to Heaven as Jesus was his Lord and Savior. Jimmie was a devoted family man and loving husband to the love of his life, childhood friend Karen Lynn and father to their only daughter Kristene Rae Buchholz, Son In Law Eric Buchholz, and his two grandsons Noah and Seth Buchholz.
Jimmie graduated from Santa Fe High School and earned his Associates degree in business. He was drafted in 1968 and enlisted in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged with many awards, citations and medals. He enlisted in the US Army Reserve in 1975 and retired as Command Sergeant Major.
He worked as a civilian with the Department of Defense and retired after 30 years as a Supervisory Staff Administrator. Jimmie loved softball and coached adults and youths for 25 years.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years in 2017 and is survived by his daughter Krissy (Lynn) Buchholz, husband Eric, grandsons Noah and Seth.
Brothers Steve Lynn and wife Kim of Peoria, AZ, David Lynn of Santa Fe, NM as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024,10:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Lomas. He will be laid to rest privately with his wife at Santa Fe National Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
