Jim Lewis, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah; son, Wayne Lewis and wife, Phyllis; daughter, Joan Williamson and husband, Jerry; three granddaughters, Jana Rushing and husband, Michael, Natasha Breckenridge and husband, Andrew, and Ashley Church and husband, Brady; three grandsons, Jeron Williamson and wife Heather, Jace Williamson and wife, Dana, and Anthony Lewis and wife, Laura; eleven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Bree, Savana and Logan Williamson, Natalia and Jake Breckenridge, Reese, Rhoan and Remmy Rushing, and Chaz and Callaway Lewis; three brothers, Charles Lewis and wife, Mary Lou, Murray Lewis and wife, Karen, and Huey Lewis; two sisters, Minnie Anderson and Mary Bassett and husband, Carroll; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and hundreds of other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Ava Lewis; brothers, William, Rolf, Ross, and Albert Lewis; and sister, Onealure Carroll. Jim was born in 1929 in Hattiesburg, MS and moved to New Mexico in 1947 and married Sarah Johnson in Feb. 1950. He was a custom home builder and real estate broker. After retirement Jim loved to travel and fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH- Lomas, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
