Jesus Roberto Martinez II

Jesus Roberto Martinez, 61, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, fell asleep in death on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 of cancer.

Roberto was born on November 24th, 1956 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. He is survived by the mother of his children, Janice, and two children Marissa And Robert. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus; his mother, Ignacia; and brother, Rogelio.

He was a man of many talents and loved to do many things but his passion was to cook. That passion led him to the US from Mexico  where he co-founded Los Compadres Restaurant in 1997. He put his heart and soul into every plate and that was evident in every bite. His culinary skills created flavors that set the standard for Mexican/New Mexican cuisine. His food and his memory will live on.

The family will be holding a service at FRENCH- University on Wednesday, October 3rd at 12:30pm. After the service, he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
