Jesse Gilbert Perea

February 11, 1931 — November 18, 2012

PEREA, JESSE G.Age 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Annie C. Perea and his brother, Pete Perea. Jesse is survived by his daughters, Gloria Stephens, and husband, Mitch of Lakewood , CO, Jacqueline Babcock and husband, Tod, Judith Frankel and husband, Steve all of Albuquerque; sons, Jesse G. Perea, Jr. and partner, William Craig Harris, Mark A. Perea and wife, Elaine of Denver, CO, and Ronald E. Perea of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Raquel Vidal and husband, Louis, Jacob Perea, Shay Babcock, Cole Babcock, James Frankel, all of Albuquerque, NM, Sterling Stephens of UT; and great-grandson, Roman Vidal of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his brothers, Teddy Perea and wife, Bennye, Michael Perea and wife, Evelyn; sisters, Mary Kozlowski, Marcela Saiz, Bridget Brink, Kathy Brothers and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He served his country proudly as a World War II veteran in the service of the Marine Corps. He was a master brick mason for over sixty years. He consulted on many jobs refusing to officially lay down his trowel. Pallbearers will be Jacob Perea, Cole Babcock, Benji Miramon, Pete Perea, Albert Kozlowski, and James Frankel. Honorary Pallbearers are Shay Babcock, Benito Esquibel and Abe Perea. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.WoundedWarriorProject. Friends may visit FRENCH - University, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 am -11:00 am. A service will begin at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
