Jesse Daniel Currie, 27, passed away on February 25, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on January 13, 1997 in Los Alamos, New Mexico to Scott and Kari Currie.
Jesse, was loved dearly as an older brother to Jordan and younger brother to Ryan, Brittany, Tyler, and Karissa Currie. His loss will be felt by his survived grandparents Jim and Nerita Collier, 11 nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Jesse grew up in the Jemez Mountains and spent time in the Canyons of Los Alamos. He loved animals and spent much of his childhood learning everything there was to know about them. His childhood dream was to live in Madagascar so he could study chameleons and lemurs. The love for animals lead him to volunteer at the zoo during his high school years. Jesse also was very active and loved snowboarding, and making big tackles while playing Football and Rugby. As a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, he shared the love of football with his Dad and Brothers. Watching and attending Vikings games was one of his favorite activities. Jesse's heart and humor were as big as he grew up to be.
As an adult, Jesse was passionate about everything he did. He especially loved welding, was hard working, and had a unique perspective on life. He received his welding license in 2016 and was in the process of taking college courses to advance his career and job opportunities. He aspired to be an underwater welder. He always challenged himself and held onto his dreams despite difficulty and more setbacks than many people would be able to handle. Every dog he owned throughout his life quickly became his best friend. He loved the people he spent his time with and would drop anything to help them any way he could. He enjoyed visiting his sisters and mom to tell them about his latest successes, make them laugh, give them the best hugs. He was a loving uncle who loved spending precious time with his nieces and nephews and always brought toys as gifts. His infectious fun nature made him an easy playmate to his nieces and nephews, and his big heart and kind nature gave him the ability to connect to even the smallest baby among them. He could find a joke about every situation in life and had a laugh that will be forever missed. His family wish they could tell him one more time how much they loved him and were proud of him.
He will be celebrated and remembered on April 13th, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
