Jess R. Sloan

Jess R. Sloan, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dolores Sloan; sons, Ron J. Sloan and wife, Michelle and Blane A. Sloan and wife Marcella; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica; great- grandson, Hunter; step-grandchildren, Rubel and Marissa; and sisters, Dorothy Ridley and husband Paul and Wanda Stakebake. Jess was born in Quemado, NM and moved after high school to Albuquerque where he started working in the building business. Over the period of his life, he built hundreds of beautiful homes and many commercial properties. Jess took special joy in building churches. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and he also loved sports, especially basketball. He was an avid New Mexico Lobo fan and would attend as many games as possible. Jess was loved and will be greatly missed by many people. Services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 9:00 a.m., at Heights First Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo Del Norte NE, where he was a life-time member.
