Jerry Schutellas

Jerry Schutellas, 85, resident of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away on February 19, 2018. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Amelia Schutellas.

Jerry was born April 12, 1932, in Greece, but his family moved to the United States when Jerry was seven. Jerry and Amelia owned and operated their own restaurant in New York prior to moving to Albuquerque. Once in Albuquerque, they opened another restaurant and were vendors at the NM State Fairgrounds for 35 years.

While in the hospital Jerry asked about his “Angel”, Angel was his German shepherd whom he loved. He stated “I love my dog.” His last words were “I want to rest and see my wife.”

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
