Jerry Romero

Jerry Romero, 65, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 with his family at his side.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; his daughter, Renee Rondeau; his son, Carl Romero; his grandchildren, Anabel, Joseph, Ella and Jacob; his mother, Lucille Romero; siblings, Pat Jaramillo and husband, Art, Michael Romero and wife, Ollie, Gloria Baca and husband, Tom, and Priscilla; and many other family and friends and his special friend, Presley. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe and a younger brother.

Jerry was born in Borger, TX and after moving to Albuquerque with his family he graduated from West Mesa High School. He served in the Army National Guard for many years. Mr. Romero retired from Sandia National Labs after 28 years. He really enjoyed his job and made many friends there. Jerry will be remembered for his passion for restoring cars and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held as his wish was to keep everything simple. The family would like to express a special thanks for the care given by Hospice and by the Presbyterian Medical professionals.
