Jerry H. Kappas

Jerry H. Kappas, age 83, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Sunday, March 25, 2021.

He is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Mr. Kappas is a 32nd degree Mason and longtime member of the director staff with the Ballut Abyad Shriners. A devout member of St. Georges Orthodox Church, Jerry’s kindness and love for his family, friends and community shined through in his charitable, hard work and his unconditional love of people. He will be missed.  May his memory be eternal.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 23, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 309 High Street SE, Albuquerque, NM   87102. Pallbearers will be the loyal, loving directors staff of the Ballut Abyad Shrine.  Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.

O God of spirits, and of all flesh, who has trampled down death, crushed the power of the devil, and granted life to your world, do You yourself, O Lord, give rest to the soul of your servant, Jerry, who has fallen asleep, in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, where there is no grief, sorrow or mourning. Forgive every sin which he has committed in word or deed or thought, for You are a good God who loves mankind. For there is no one who lives and does not sin; only You are without sin; Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Your word is truth.
