Jennifer Roth, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died February 8, 2018, with her family by her side in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Jennifer was born December 6, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to Kenneth and Marilyn Roth. Her father was an Electrical Engineer, and her mother was a Homemaker.
Jennifer spent most of her life growing up in New Mexico. She graduated from Socorro High School in 1975 and went on to train as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. She later attended and graduated from the NM State Law Enforcement Academy in 1985, and met, and later married Ken Iskow. After joining the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, she had a baby girl named Jacqueline in 1987. Jen later divorced and went on to have a baby boy, Tyler in 1997. After retiring from the Sheriff’s Department, she proceeded to work at Sandia National Laboratories in the Security training department as a course manager.
She graduated cum laude from National American University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management. She had continued her education by working towards a master’s degree in the National Security field.
Jennifer loved gardening, reading, improving her home and most of all, her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline, son Tyler, and her five brothers; Paul, Otto, Timothy, Christopher, and Daniel. Jennifer was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Rio Rancho
