Jeanne Marie King

Our Mommy, Jeanne Marie Bartsch King, 90, born 1926, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1926 to Henry and Adelaide Bartsch, along with her brother Charles.
She married Elmer M. King in 1953, her children's sweetest "Daddy," her beloved husband, who was never more than a few feet away on the living room couch each evening through the decades - he was her "North, South, East, and West, her working week and her Sunday rest, her noon, her midnight, her talk, her song... " to paraphrase WH Auden.
Her heart broke in 2012, with the sudden death due to heart failure of her littlest, beloved boy Dan, whose passing from which she never quite recovered. Her starlight of love and strength husband Elmer died in 2015. Her daughter, Mary, also of Rio Rancho lovingly cared for her many years till the very end, along with the kindly assistance of the staff of her assisted living facility, Brookdale, in Rio Rancho.
Jeanne is also survived by her daughter, Martha and son, Chris; her sons-in-law, Craig and Gary and daughter-in-law, Mary; grandchildren, Adam, Hilary, Julie, Keith, Kevin, Kyra; and great-granddaughter, Brooke; her husband's sister, Marilyn; her son Dan's wife, Sylvia; her never-forgotten friend, Beth Schell of Moon Township, PA, her fans, as well as her kids' dear chums, Bill and Tom Pittock; and nieces and nephews, Linda, Lisa, Dan, and Kim.
