Jeanice Jansen, 83, passed away on December 20, 2016. Jeanice was born in Albert Lea, MN to Henry and Thora Jacobsen. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Paul (Houston, TX), and Sheila Hernandez (Albuquerque); and three grandchildren, Bryan Paul, Carolyn Paul, and Johanna Hernandez. Jeanice was preceded in death by husband, Charles (Chuck); daughter, Stacy; and son, Craig.
Jeanice was a retired preschool teacher who loved volunteering with the NM Forest Service, adored her pets, and enjoyed traveling. A Memorial Service will be held on January 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Carter Hall, La Vida Llena Retirement Community, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE. A private Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to La Vida Llena Full Life Foundation.
