Jean Teisher

Jean Teisher, age 91, born November 2, 1923 in Erie, PA, resident of Albuquerque since 1955, married to Simeon (Dick) Teisher for 67 years, died on Friday, November 14, 2014. She is survived by her husband, five children and their partners, 12 grandchildren and their partners, and 4 great-grandchildren. Children & partners - Jim & Jeanne Teisher, Susan Busch, Sally & Rob Machacek, John Teisher & Rita Cheney, and Margie Teisher & Jim Wilkinson. Grandchildren & partners - Sean & Melissa Teisher, Cameron Teisher, Joel & Courtney Busch, Isaac Busch & Liz Nichols, Sarah Wheeler, Rachel Busch, Lindsay Machacek, Matthew Machacek, Whitney Machacek, Jessica Wilke & Will Connor, Nicole Wilke and Kelli Wilke. Great Grandchildren - Hannah Teisher, Christopher Wheeler, Olivia Busch and Caleb Busch. Jean Teisher, a member of MENSA, received her Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Ohio Wesleyan University, worked at National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (now named NASA). After having five children she went to work as a computer programmer for the State of New Mexico. Being a woman of faith, Jean was active in the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, hiking, travelling to Kauai, stargazing, bonfires, and camping. She served on the Board of Directors for Martineztown House of Neighborly Service and was a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Services will be held on Monday November 24, 2014 at New Life Presbyterian Church, 5540 Eubank Blvd NE, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the afternoon at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
