Jean O. Soderberg

Jean O. Soderberg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 95. Born on August 16, 1928, in Belleville, Illinois, Jean led a life full of love, joy, and devotion.

A proud graduate of Belleville Township High School, Class of 1946, Jean embarked on a career in the airline industry, working for both Eastern and TWA Airlines. Her career took her to many places and allowed her to meet countless people, forming friendships that would last a lifetime.

In 1964, Jean married the love of her life, Carl R. Soderberg. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for family. Jean's nurturing spirit and kind heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A lifelong Presbyterian, Jean was a devoted member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where she served for many years as a deacon. She found great joy in calling on people and offering her support and kindness to those in need.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Carl; their children, son, Kirby Soderberg and his wife, Bernie; daughter, CJ Gaddis and her husband, Ernie; and their grandchildren, Dustin, Atlee, Widley, and Samy. She will be remembered for her gentle soul, dedication to family, and her enduring grace.

A memorial service will be held for Jean Saturday, August 24, 2024, 10:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Ave. NE, where family and friends are invited to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rio Grande Food Project, www.rgfp.org, in Jean's memory. She will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
