Jean Presley

Jean Marilyn Presley went to her final rest Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born Saturday, July 6th, 1935 to Charles and Angela Hutchings in Evanston, IL.

Jean graduated the Mallinckrodt High School in Wilmette, IL and went on to study at Loyola University in Chicago, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and minors in multiple other languages. After graduating, she worked at Allstate, traveled the Southwest, and moved to Hawaii. There she met the love of her life, Eddie Presley, who was serving in the United States Navy. They married at St. Therese's Catholic Church in Fresno, CA Thursday, October 7th, 1965 and had three children.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Angela; brothers, William, Charles, Edward, Thomas, Robert, and Jonathan; and sisters, Marie and Carol. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eddie; daughters, Carolyn, Sharon, and Christina; grandchildren Angela, Ariana, Anthony, and Aspen; great-granddaughter Belle; and siblings Jane, Linda, Thomas, Paul, Joyce, and James.

A Rosary will be said in Jean's memory at 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 21st, 2024 at the Shrine of St. Bernadette in Albuquerque, NM. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 22nd, 2024, also at the Shrine of St. Bernadette in Albuquerque, NM followed by internment at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

As Jean was a life-long lover of cats, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of her favorite big-cat rescue charities, Tiger Haven.
