Jean B. Chavez

Jean B. Chavez passed away on February 26, 2017. Jean was a woman of faith. She believed in strong, faithful, unconditional, tough love. She was relentless, fearless, a compassionate councilor, and had a colorful sense of humor. JC Penny's was her favorite shopping spot and she loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved to dance and sing and enjoyed decorating her home. She was also an avid gardener who adored roses. She took pride in everything she did.
Her family always came first. She held her husband, children and grandchildren dear in her heart. She valued 47 years of marriage with our father. Their continuous, unconditional love for each other was an example to us all. She always had a homemade dinner waiting for us when we got home from school. She gave us a wonderful childhood. She also cared for her parents and took care of all her grandchildren. She was our rock.
She is survived by her father, Roman T. Sena; her husband, Paul Chavez; her daughters, Jackie L. Chavez and partner Paul Anthony Chavez and Jeanette Lovato and husband Ronny Lovato; her sons, Christopher P. Chavez and wife Carla Chavez and Curtis Chavez and wife Zeniada Chavez; grandchildren, Jesse Gutierrez, Casandra Gutierrez, Curtis Ray Silva, Cienna Chavez, Arellana Chavez, Ronny Lovato, Jaylenne Lovato, Ashtien Chavez, Isabella Chavez, Brianna Torres, Gabriel Torres and Richard Holder, and great-grandchildren, Julian DeHerrea and Mila Rae Gutierrez. She is preceded in death by her mother, Faviola Sena; her sister, Lucy Roybal, and her brothers, Edward Sena and Jesse Sena.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Family Worship Center, 7311 Glenrio Road NW in Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be Jesse Gutierrez, Curtis Sylvia, Ronny Lovato, Richard Holder, Larry Roybal and BJ Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Chavez and Derek Sanchez.
