Janet Morehouse Sisson

Janet Morehouse Sisson, 79, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on March 18, 2016 at St. Theresa Nursing Home. She entered this world on August 7, 1936 in Penn Yan, NY, daughter of the late Clarence S. and Dorothy Bailey Morehouse. She graduated from Dundee Central School in New York and earned a bachelors degree in education at State University of New York-Geneseo. Janet married Carlton Edward Sisson on June 29, 1957, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico which they made their home. Janet regularly attended Sandia Baptist Church in Albuquerque as long as she was able. She enjoyed reading, sewing, playing cards scrapbooking and spending time with her family. In her later years she enjoyed coloring and crossword puzzles. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Karla Newberry and children, Kristina R. Macher husband, John, and J.Scott Newberry wife Sarah; her son, James Sisson and his children, Eric E. Sisson, Michael J. Sisson wife, Jordyn and Carl L. Sisson, Sara Estridge. She will be missed by her brother, Phil Morehouse and wife, Mary of Barrington, NY; sister in-law, Carolyn Campbell husband Dick of Tulsa OK; her great grandchildren which includes twelve; many numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces who will miss her in New York State and Oklahoma. Her faithful furry friend, Butterscotch will miss curling up on her feet. Besides her parents and husband, Carlton, she was predeceased by a sister, Linda M. Potter and brother in-law, Cyril J. Potter. "She opened her heart to many people over the years and she will be sorely missed". Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
